WHO'S IN YOUR ROTATION?
Dream Blunt Rotation is an experimental hangout simulator driven by LLMs. You choose who you're smoking with — characters from any universe or the real world — sit down in a circle, and let the conversation unfold. With over 350 characters to pick from and more added every day, the fully voiced characters riff off each other, argue about YOUR interests, bond over childhood trauma, misremember each other's lore, you get the idea. They get weird - Don't be afraid to join them!
There's no quest. No score. Get relationship advice. Convert them to christianity. Let them dig into your tragic life backstory. Piss them off. Do whatever you want, really.
This is a playtest. We're pretty early. More characters need to be added. Things will break. Conversations will derail or be stale at times. A LOT will change in terms of UI, style, and feel. Expect a LOT to change, that's part of it. We want to know what's fun, what's boring. What you like, what you didn't.
All characters are created by the community, and we do retain the right to enforce safety filters and even removal of characters if necessary. We use primarily claude (all credits free for testing) but will support alternative paths and open source models in the future. Voice / TTS is all local.
Steam page coming soon! In the meantime, we do have a Discord, you get unlimited credits and other stuff if you join!
Enjoy! Also, sorry for the AI slop on the thumbnail. It's just easiest for now so we can focus on features, we will be paying artists to replace this soon.

WINDOWS:
- "More info => Run Anyway"
- Make sure to ALLOW tts-server.exe if prompted during launch
- [For people with firewall issues, you have to go to Window's Security settings in "Firewall and Network Protection". Next you have to find "Allow an App Through Firewall" and add the .exe you use to start the game.]
MAC:
- NOT SUPPORTED ON INTEL CHIPS, APPLE CHIPS ONLY ATM!!!
- Move to Applications
- "Settings => Privacy & Security => Open Anyway"

Is this an always online game cause it won't launch at all. Tts is allowed through firewall but every time I launch it it freezes then crashes
it is unfortunately, it has to to pull the character bodies and heads and stuff from the server. but that shouldn't be why it's crashing, if you join the discord we can troubleshoot!
I just got into arguments with Teto while Heavy asks what OnlyFans is and Miku calling Teto a houseplant.

trying to make custom heads doesnt work :( it just says insufficient funds.
oh yes we should set a better flag for that, it's down and we're making some changes then getting it back up next week! you're welcome to join the discord for updates on that front
I don't know if I trust this game, when I launched it the creator mentioned AI and I figured it meant like the character's control, then it asked to do something external from the game. And now I don't like it. I'm sure it's a good game but I don't trust it.
oh if i understand correctly that's probably the TTS (how the characters speak, it runs locally), it sometimes requires you to approve it on windows.

Hey, do you get any error notifications when the character list is loading / you attempt to start a rotation?
Not at all, it just doesn't initiate
I *do* get a network error if I try to reinstall the update in the main menu, though
After learning this, I turned off my firewall to see if it would work, but it didn't

This game is absolute CINEMA, I love being able to bond with the characters and have deep conversations. sharing past traumas and listening to the characters stories. I chose Pomni, Chief, and Freddy and damn was it so good that I could just keep talking with them for hours. it felt so real and so genuine.

what system are you playing on, i am windows 11 and having so many bugs it is not playable. id like to be able to interact as well, could you offer advise?
I'm on Windows 11 as well but im not having any bugs on my end, is the game just freezing on you? or Crashing? maybe it has to do with your firewall?

tysm!!! we're working on improving it, it can be inconsistent atm (requires a good picture, tweaking, etc) but since it uses AI it can be unpredictable / sloppy / bad lol
EDIT: we pushed a fix just now that should have addressed the file picker issues, if that's what you meant!
here i am live on youtube, trynna play yo game, and update #2 breaks the game. so, im really dissapointed, and so are all of my viewers.
Fix pushed! If you restart the game, you'll get that update modal that you just need to hit 'Download' to get the update and it should restart and run.
For any new players: We also made new builds just now that are up to date, so if you want to reinstall from scratch those will also work without needing any update.

Hey Goth Mogged whats up bro this has a ton of potential but I am on windows 11 and seem to be having some major bug issues. 1) can not interact whatsoever with anyone, in anyway. No chat, no voice, no nothing. Is it because I am using my mic to broadcast live? I will try as soon as the live ends and let you know. 2) the characters still get stuck after their rotation, before the bug fix they made one full successful rotation, now they pass the blunt but it stays focused on one character. again, i am unable to do anything or interact, theres nothing. I am super dissapointed, but i saw you are designing this on OS and I have windows so I look forward to you ironing out some bugs so i can try this again. This was my second live attempt but, i only have 100 subscribers so, its not a big deal bro. i aint that big (yet). Much love, looking forward to working version in windows!
Hey, can you confirm you are running the latest version of the game? 0.2.1 at the time of writing this. You can see your current version on the main menu screen at the bottom left corner.
Yes 0.2.1. The gameplay is going to upload to YT in about five hours or so, can upload the video here via link once it posts for you if that helps!
Could you walk me through what happened? When you started the rotation, did you get an error notification?
We are using claude for the dialog, some of their models had some downtime earlier today (https://status.claude.com) but seem to be up and healthy again.
If you could test again to rule that out that would be much appreciated.
