THE EMBER DEPTHS

A free pixel dungeon-crawler ARPG with Diablo-style loot and 5e-flavoured classes. It's built to play well on a phone and just as well on a desktop.

Make a hero in the town of Hearthold, dive into procedurally generated dungeons beneath it, and come back with (hopefully) better gear. Something very large and very on fire lives at the bottom of the Deep.

We're getting it ready for a Steam release, and right now we want honest feedback from real players. So for now it's free to play right here in your browser. Everything you tell us goes straight into what ships on Steam.

WHAT'S IN IT

• 14 classes and 9 races: Fighter, Paladin, Rogue, Ranger, Wizard, Cleric, Barbarian, Bard, Druid, Monk, Sorcerer, Warlock, Necromancer and Dread Knight, each with two subclasses and a full skill kit.

• Loot you'll build around: 85 legendaries, 7 class sets, and 80 uniques with build-changing powers; you choose which ones to attune.

• 5 acts, 25 dungeons, 139 monster types, bosses with phases, and an endless Descent mode.

• Five difficulties, chosen at a cursed statue in town. Legendary means 3× foe health, damage and numbers, and much better loot.

• Co-op for up to 4 players, a PvP arena and leaderboards.

• Hardcore mode: permadeath, a separate economy, and a graveyard.

• 25 pets that fight beside you, level up and evolve. Summoners choose their minions: damage, DPS or tank.

• Hireable sellswords with their own personalities. They grab their own upgrades, carry potions, and drag you back up when you fall.

• A daily and weekly challenge dungeon with a shared seed and leaderboard.

• Quillon, a dungeon-master narrator who comments on your life choices.

CONTROLS

• Phone/tablet (landscape): virtual stick to move, tap skills; basic attacks are automatic.

• Keyboard: WASD or arrow keys to move, 1–6 skills, Q/F potion, E pet command, B bag, C hero, P party, M map, Esc menu.

FEEDBACK

Press "Tell Quillon" in the menu (F8 on a keyboard) to send bug reports and ideas straight to the developer, and vote on upcoming features on the Ideas board.
