I think I bumped into some WIP gifs of this one while browsing BlueSky, instantly liking the aesthetics. Really glad to see and play the finished product. Great job.

Very impressive.

I start working on a small Castlevania-esque project and I bump into this. Sorry to hear this was cancelled, it's really neat! Thanks for sharing.

Great aesthetics and gameplay. Really like this take on the Tower Defense genre. As charming as it is addicting.

oh no it's one of *those* games. Luckily it's pretty short so I didn't have to sacrifice my entire afternoon being hypnotized by numbers going up. Pretty nice, short and chill.

Very useful! Thanks for sharing!

The experience is a pretty authentic GB experience I gotta say.

I like the Energy mechanic: either you "spend" it on your bonus weapon or you can unleash it for a screen-wipe attack.

Pretty nice, very challenging (but that's part of the authenticity).

Nice job!

Ciao!

Super stylish and well-made. I'm really bad at figuring things out fast in puzzle games like this however, yet every door is really cool and the subtle collectathon that makes you want to, well, "collect" them all is addicting. Great job!

You should totally update it, there's great potential. And yes I may have struggled a bit with figuring out what the exact solution but it's not as unintuitive as you may think -one can figure it out. Though yeah probably a semi-mandatory tutorial stage my help.
Again, great job.

Very nice idea and presentation, a really interesting puzzle game that goes very well with the theme.

Very neat idea for a puzzle game. The mirrored aspect adds a subtle yet extra layer of challenge that can get surprisingly trippy. I like how you can move both characters, which makes me wonder however: which side is the "correct" one? I assumed I had to recreate (mirrored) the left side of the screen on the right side (which worked), or do they simple have to match?

This is me maybe not understanding the basics but I still wanted to ask.

Very nice.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed.

Thank you! I admit I had to rush the final boss a bit, so it may not be super clear at first, since it's more of focused on the "mirror" below. Glad you figured out though and glad you liked the game!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks!

The feeling is there and it's really strong and well-made.
I like the nostalgia but I also like how you can tell it's a modern game.
Really a big fan of this and all of your work in general by the way.

Thanks for sharing your projects with us.

I know it's been years but I just found this gem.
Those GB-styled action platformers are my weakness. Feels so good and natural to play and it really looks the part both in graphics and sound/music -I don't know if you were actually going for authenticity but if you told me this was an actual game from that era I'd believe you (and I know because I would have played the sh*it out of it).

Great job.

Ah no worries, I totally understand! I'll just get good lol
Really love this game, as a gamer but also as a rookie dev -honestly inspiring in many ways (from the art to the gameplay).
Again, amazing job!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
Have a good Jam!

Perfect. Thanks for your answer.
I can absolutely wait, no problemo.

Have a good Jam.

Hi, I worked on a slightly updated version of my submission today.
It's the same game with some tweaks.

Am I allowed to update the game or should I wait for the Jam to be over first?
Strictly speaking: is it allowed?

I can obviously wait for the Jam to be over first, just to be clear.

Thanks!

Short and sweet fun. Also cute!
Music slaps.
PS: Glad my curiosity was rewarded (after unlocking Fly).
Really nice.

No problemo. Have a good jam.

Ok this one may be one of my favorites ngl, an absolute blast to play. I love retro NES-styled projects, but adding parrying and dodging is super addicting to me, especially with such polished sprite animations.
Great atmosphere, feel and sound design (and thus feedback) as well.

Other than the inspirations you mentioned (great taste!), the perspective of the game also reminded me of Crossed Swords for the NeoGeo, which I really liked back then -I don't know if you're also familiar with that game or if it was even an (minor?) influence on this project, but I think it's a fun similarity.

Amazing job!

Visually and technically impressive, fun to play.
I really like the art style you went with.

Very cool, definitely coming back to this soon -I only played in the browser and honestly I had no issues, but I'm going to try the downloadable version if that's the intended experience.

PS: I'd love a gamepad support, but know that's my keyboard-related skill issues speaking lol.

Great work and have a good Jam!

Yeah it gets a bit repetitive admittedly, but I can assure you it's a short quest: the score cap is reachable and there's an end to the endless heat-inducing drilling ahah.

Thank you for playing!
Have a good jam (really enjoyed your entry)!

I mean that the cover image I see is a simple drawing of a broken battery, whereas the game itself has a really nice logo, graphics and animations.  I didn't mean to sound rude obviously with my previous comment so in that case I apologize.

Again, nice game.
Have a good jam!

Thanks for playing!

The score cap *can* be reached btw, and there's a little ending if you succeed.

Thanks again!

It's better to kill them to have better control of your heat gauge, so you decide the timing of your bursts.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks! Working on a mobile-friendly version as we speak (to be updated after the jam ends or during the jam, if it's allowed).

Definitely spent too much time playing this one (congratulatory).
Simple but fun mechanics, challenging, a good test for my timing skills.
Great job.

Spent way too much time playing this one (congratulatory). Simple fun, well done.

Cover image doesn't do justice: the game looks good.
I feel like the orbit movement could be tweaked a little but as it usually happens it could very well be a skill issue from me and my poor timing.

Really nice.

How do you guys make 3D stuff in so little time that looks so good and cozy?

Yeah, it's pretty casual and simple, but great presentation.

It took me a couple of tries but once you get the timing it quickly becomes an addicting gauntlet. Really fun movement, challenging, fast-paced, but if you lose you're quickly back in action.  The ceiling killing you feels a bit overkill but I get the design choice.

Also the music slaps.

Great job.

Good old jumping, my beloved. I felt like some jumps were a bit floaty or unfair but that could be very well a skill issue from me, the player.

Nice job.

You say it's a joke game but I fell for it , on purpose, so who's the real joke?

PS: I'm rich now, thanks.

I like how stressful it can get. Also really liked the drag 'n drop approach to the gameplay, which only adds to the stress of keeping things under control. Very nice entry, well done.

You said this is your first 3D game and honestly that's stupidly impressive.
It plays and looks great, fun usage of the limitation and the racing aspect is obviously exciting even if it's a short race.

Great job!
