1 - Non-traversalable locations can be entered by other means.

2 - D is the number of Desert locations that surround the location (page 25).

3 - Always use the Unique Level (2) for those locations.

Correct; you can only switch when not in Combat (bottom of page 5). The * indicates good starting weapons that can compliment your ally choices.

Sure thing. I'll add a few copies after the sale ends (October 1).

Enjoy! Thank you for supporting the game.

Exhaustion is usually tracked by players using dice or tokens. I didn't include it on the sheet as you would be filling and erasing over-and-over again.

I've added a bunch of community copies. Feel free to grab one there.

Yes. The min and max, for Wear, should be reversed to provide the reader with a better logical flow.

I will write an FAQ regarding this.

Essentially the issue is that I'm using Wear as a 0 to X system counting down, when I should have been counting up. Wear = bad, so more should cause issues, not less. I abstracted a simple concept and have caused some major confusion!

Treat Wear as:

Marking 1 Wear = adding to the current Wear (not subtracting).

Removing/Repairing 1 Wear = removing from the current Wear (not adding).

Max Wear = bad (5 for Glider, 3 for Gear)

Min Wear = good (0 for Glider/Gear)

Sure thing. I'll get it uploaded in the next few days and reply to your message again.

Good questions.

A location can be explored any numbers of times.

Enemies do not stay in the location where they were revealed. If you are able to escape then they are gone for good, or until you roll on the same enemy encounter again!

It has been added. I'll work on making a form fillable version of the other player resources too.

Nothing on the translation front. My contacts are stills working on it last I checked, but I'll reach out to see if they have any progress.

Absolutely. I can get one for you by end of this week. I'll push a game update when it becomes available.

People are always asking for different trackers and character sheets, so more options is always nice to offer.

Thanks for the support. Hope you enjoy being an ogre!

Awesome stuff! If you want, I can add this to the player resources for the game. Just let me know.

No additional delves at this time. I can update the template for the newest edition. Give me a day or so to get it done and I'll throw in a few more delves as examples.

GLIDE 2 has settlement and character name generation, a huge collection of events, and more general world building options. Nothing for food, cooking, or the like. That is a good idea though...

I'll enable Amazon print-on-demand once the backer copies arrive for everyone from my BackerKit campaign. I'll make a post on this page about where all print versions are available at that time.

This one, Part Two, would be a better place to start as it had a more streamlined system and better layout. Shoot me an email and I'll get you a discount code (cody at sasquatchgames dot ca).

Those are added to their base stat, same as when you upgrade your character. The only modifiers come from equipment, as you can switch them around through the game.

The expansion content is not in Two. Some of the ideas are there, such as bonds and jobs, but not things like space exploration or creating businesses. Those are possible to add back later and would likely be free, or very cheap, for players to enjoy.

This is really cool! Thanks for sharing. ❤️

You may count Revealed and Explored locations towards the goal. It's one of the requirements that can be difficult to do if the player has already filled and explored most of their map. The Guild quest after, Explore 3 locations 2+ hexes away from each other, will require you to do the Explore action. If you don't have any locations to do so, I would recommend choosing 3 and just doing an Explore action at those, again.

Glad to hear you are enjoying Troves!

1 - "An Ability can be used at any time as long as the rules listed for the ability make sense..." (p. 7). No need to declare using Stamina before it is needed!

2 - Correct; All HP (and 1 Stamina) is restored after a successful Combat (p. 27). This was done to prevent softlocking of progress for players that don't have healing options (Trials only deal 1 Harm for failing them, see p. 26).

First proof was a dud (had a bunch of layout transparency issues). I'm working on some edits and will get a DriveThruRPG option available ASAP.

Physical copies are going to be available soon on DriveThruRPG -- I'm just waiting for the proofs.

Range 0 means same space can be targeted, so 2 enemies (player and not-player) can fight each-other with Range 0 attacks. If 2 enemies are in the same space but the player is in another, then only a Range 1 attack would work.

Yes. The actions should be 1-3 and 4-6. There is no issue playing it as written, just makes the Explorer more powerful!

Start with 5 "possible" Wear. Mark 1 of those (remove it) when Wear is taken to your glider. Add "possible" Wear back through repairing your glider. Reach 0 "possible" Wear and you cannot use mods. You got it right!

Guild of Sand is only found in Desert locations. When you find them then you can perform Settlement Actions there, as well as interacting with them. You cannot find Guild of Sand representatives in Settlements outside of this action. The Caravan Friend reward is only for level 4 members, which aligns with the requirement for other Guild special rewards (I missed adding the Bond Level 4 requirement, sorry!).

You're welcome! I've given away over 1,000 copies of GLIDE, so far, and will continue to provide copies as I can.

Not while the sale is running. More copies will be added in September.

Good question! Wear is just that; the decreasing quality of your glider/gear as it is worn out from use. The choice to handle it this way was purely to align with the words used to describe it and the game mechanics that already existed. You start with 5 'possible' Wear on your glider, and it decreases to 0 over time. At 0, you are reduced to a max speed of 1, and cannot use any of the mods attached to it (until you repair).

I could have just called it 'Quality' and ticked down in the same way as exists, but I wanted to tell players that their stuff needs upkeep to stay viable in the harsh environments of Eridoor. This choice also matches with how the resources are used in the game, keeping mechanic names aligned with how they would be expected to work in the system, e.g. decrease Stamina, use Momentum, and mark Wear all decrease the total resource pool.

Hope that helps explain why Wear is as it is and gives a little insight into the design process behind the game.

Thank you for the review! I'll link it on the game page for others to see.

Sometimes it's easy to miss a small detail in the rules, especially when the creator uses shared tables. 😅

Sounds like a good delve! You cannot leave with the treasure or clues as the only way to the Downtime Phase is through victory or defeat. You would treat leaving the delve as Defeat:

"Defeated players remove all treasure from their Treasure Tracker and proceed to the Downtime phase." (p. 28)

1. Bottled Ethereal Flame should be Recover 1 additional Stamina after combat. Nice catch!

2. When you roll a result with Combat Event, you then roll for the enemy encountered. No need to roll. for the attribute and difficulty! "On a Combat result, the players roll once as a group on the Enemies Table.  Each enemy result provides an HP total, Attack die, Defense die, and Harm dealt." (p. 27).

3. Combat uses the core concept of Hits, with the opposed roll being the LD. Draws would award a success to the player, always. "If the total meets or beats the LD of the target action, the player succeeds and does something (a Hit)! Otherwise, the player faces a setback (a Miss)." (p. 5).

Always happy to hear that GLIDE introduced people to a new way to play. Part Two has so much more stuff in it for players to experience, while also providing a foundation to build on with more content.

I hope that this project is everything you need to play and more! Enjoy.

Nope! Thanks for catching that error. I recently updated my publishing software and it's been throwing me some issues.

I'll get the file updated ASAP. File has been fixed and update.

Thank you. Enjoy!
