here's a vague hint:
ever heard of Narcissus
very fun, but i wish the radar saw just a bit further. i know part of the point is keeping you in the dark at all times, but i'd like to be able to spot lockers in advance so i'm not dying because i got chased by a creature into a room after trying to sneak past its patrol path into the room's seemingly only entrance.
maybe it just generated the map weirdly (assuming it's random which I imagine it is), but that just. i quit after that, spent all that time trying and grinding it out until that point.
i like the concept, but most roguelikes have some amount of guarantee. Shattered Pixel Dungeon, for example; just about every run is theoretically winnable even with getting basically the worst possible luck 24/7.
This game, you can just be put to death for not finding food– worst luck just speeds that up tenfold.
i'm here not because of Markiplier (though I will be watching that video later, I guess {(}):o)), anyway, uh
good game! had a bug with miners where once I got to the final area, they only mined Blue and Gold; and would ignore all other materials... even when I marked them.
buuuut I was already finished with the floor by that point, so it was nbd.
again, very good game!
played web version, very fun! just wish there was *A* pause button, because I had an ant on my leg that i tried to deal with mid-purge... i died :(
also, with how fast the wolves attack, i feel like Purge should be more delayed. more of a "you're taking too long" mechanic rather than "alright it's been 20 seconds, we're unleashing the buzzsaws"
round 14 with 213 kills (50+ in round one because i didn't realize there was a beam of light)
This seems like a really fun idea, but some things just make it plain unfair or downright unbeatable.
Mask Of Ecstasy is the main culprit here. There's been multiple times now where I'll just bust off-rip before I even get to do anything, and Vultus pulls a 7 and a 3 or some crud like that. Or an Ace and a 4. Or an Ace and a King, Queen, or Jack. Really stinks, because it's just a sudden 20 damage that you have no method of evading.
Aside from that, the "We" in some mask descriptions is odd. Mask Of Agony says "We take 3 damage when we draw" but it never takes damage when it draws. I'd understand that it's saying "we" as in "the player" for some reason, if not for the fact that Mask Of Joy has no problem using "you" which just makes it more confusing.
I do absolutely love the idea of this; however, the limit of five mini-games was a little unexpected. I went into this expecting a sort of Wario-Ware kind of thing.
That's not to say I dislike this by any means– just that my personal enjoyment was hampered by my expectations being fundamentally different from what the game actually was and is.
Again, not a "game bad unga bunga need fast minigame" kind of complaint– actually this isn't much of a complaint at all, because the minigames you DO have have enough variation to them that they could easily be entire games of their own– just a personal opinion typea deal.
