I completed everything in the game, I even submitted the name for the John Doe, but when I clicked all three pieces of evidence and hit the “submit” at the bottom nothing happened. I’ve tried hitting the enter key, I’ve tried hitting “submit” in the upper right corner, I’ve tried hitting all three evidences in every possible order, I’ve triple-checked the walkthrough to confirm I had the right answer (which I did), and still the game won’t end. After spending an extra hour experimenting with full screen and not full screen, I’ve decided to give up and watch someone else beat the game. I’m not sure if this is a browser bug or user error, but if I haven’t been able to beat the game by now, I have to assume I never will.

After passing that room, I was able to complete the demo! I’m not sure why the game wasn’t letting me immediately teleport while mid-air. I was playing the demo on a windows laptop, and as far as I knew, nothing had changed from when I sent the most recent message and now. I really thought I was spamming the “K” button as fast as I could. I did notice there was a bit of lag immediately after I changed forms which made it difficult to time jumps properly, but I managed to get a hold of it. I do really think the diagonal teleporting should have been explained better, since (at least for the demo) there wasn’t another situation where that movement was required.
Aside from minor technical issues, the art style and music were immaculate! Even when I was throwing myself against puzzles, I didn’t feel upset. Thank you for responding - you’ve made a wonderful piece of art
As pretty as this game looks, it is… a nightmare. I thought we might get the chance to at least grow one plant, but it’s just running back and forth. You don’t even need to read the dialogue because the quest log says it for you (and if you do engage with the story by reading it, your only reward is lost time, which could result in you needing to play the game over again); and there’s no real consequences for speaking to the wrong person. Honestly, one of the best examples I’ve seen of bureaucracy horror to date.
The worst part of this game was when it ended.
I notice in the save file it says “Level 1”. Is it possible to reach level 2?
Also, just as a suggestion for the future, I think it’d be cool if we could rearrange the books in our hands, or drag the books in the pile around. Other than that, I can’t think of anything I’d change.
Thank you for this wonderful game! :D
Not sure if this is a bug, but when I try to complete the “Do not turn a page or look left or right” instruction, closing my eyes for the instruction did not work. I believe I followed the instructions correctly, as by not having my eyes open, I should not be “looking” anywhere, but I still keep losing the game.
Some feedback about the game: -One aspect that is kind of confusing (which the game does not tell you) is that colors with the same name can be very different. This can get very confusing when you’re merging the same colors and find that they can’t connect because they are one shade off. As you get further into experimenting, the odds of this happening are pretty much guaranteed. -The color dex itself is very confusing when combined with the previous feedback. Maybe there could be an expansion option, where you have each named color and the many different hex combinations that count as that color name? -For completionist’s sake, I think it should be a bit clearer what colors of the 138 you’re missing. Maybe an optional hint? -Could there be a dark mode to the game? Depending on what shades you’re experimenting with at any given moment, it can kind of be grating on the eyes… especially when you’re squinting at the screen trying to see which direction the shade is leaning towards.
Trouble with a code
I’ve managed to get through the game just fine (it is very fun), but the pager puzzle has stumped me. I can only assume that the phrase “The first day you’ve ever existed…” would be referencing a birthday, but there are no dates or numbers that I can see. I’ve tried the day the game came out, the birthday of Greg Heffley, even some joke numbers just to test. I think the clue for this puzzle may be just a little too well hidden, either that, or I’ve missed something obvious. This game is really fun, and I hope you make more like these in the future! :D
I must be doing something wrong. I’ve spent several days playing this game and unlocked all upgrades, but I have not found the elusive elevator the sign talks about. I have followed strange patterns on the ground in circles, and nothing. For anyone that has accomplished this, could you please give me a hint? Thank you!
Any time I break a stone/tree, harvest a plant, or place an object (fireplace, wall, etc.), the chunks modified counter goes up. I also made the discovery that adding another waypoint to your map also counts as a modified chunk. It’s a shame, since I found some truly wonderful herbs along the way that I marked, but I will have to find them again later once I know it’s safe to do so.
