One Month One Game is a recurring game development challenge built around a simple idea:
Make one game every month.
Not a masterpiece. Not your dream game. Not a project that stays in development forever.
A finished, playable game.
The goal of the challenge is to practice finishing projects, experiment with new ideas, learn faster, and gradually build a collection of released games.
Every month is a new round.
Join the round, make a game during the month, publish it, and submit it before the deadline.
Then the next month starts and we do it again.
There is no requirement to make something huge or technically impressive. Small games, prototypes, experiments, weird ideas, jam-sized projects and tiny incremental games are all welcome.
Scope is your friend.
A 10-minute game that is actually released is much more valuable here than an ambitious project that never leaves your hard drive.
One Month One Game is primarily about consistency and finishing games.
You don't need to compete with other participants. You don't have to chase ratings or make the most polished game in the jam.
Your main opponent is unfinished-project syndrome.
Try something. Finish it. Release it. Learn from it. Make the next one better.
Everyone.

The challenge is also friendly to AI-assisted development. Tools are tools — what matters is that you actually make and finish the game.
The challenge is international and English is used as the primary language.
But we comfortable with the other languages.
One Month One Game is intended to be more than a single itch.io jam page.
The project has its own website that tracks rounds and is being built to support game submissions from multiple platforms.

Issues, suggestions and contributions are welcome.
Don't spend the entire month searching for the perfect idea.
Pick something small enough to finish.
Make it.
Publish it.
And next month — make another one.
