The Composer Weekend Jam is a music jam, for composers of all levels to challenge themselves to create something new in a weekend in a controlled stress environment. Like traditional game jams, collaboration is highly encouraged. Perhaps you have someone else add a layer to your audio, maybe you mix someone else's track. The sky is the limit!
This event is run by ScoringTech.net -check out the blog for some good music related content.
Be sure to join our discord- THIS JAM IS PRIMARILY RUN, ORGANIZED, AND COORDINATED ON DISCORD. THEME ANNOUNCEMENT, GROUP DISCUSSIONS, SUBMISSIONS, AND VOTING WILL PRIMARILY HAPPEN ON DISCORD. Submission on itch is great, but submitting on our discord server allows easier and more prompt feedback discussion, etc and the voting is more flexible for different categories.

Rules & Guidelines
You can compose in any genre or style you like as long as you relate your music to the theme Music must be original and written during the time of the jam Though Itch is a game-centric site, you do not need to be a "game composer" to participate! Music of all kinds is allowed and encouraged Music generated via ai rather than written is not allowed.
Aim for at least 60 seconds. Quality over quantity, but feel free to go longer if desired.
Projects can be submitted in a .wav or .mp3 file. If there are interactive elements feel free to submit a screen cap of your wwise project and showing off interactivity. We will have a dedicated channel on our server to facilitate submissions, feedback, discussion, etc. If you feel more comfortable submitting a youutbe or soundcloud link, totally fine as well. The goal is that you write, the details of how you submit I could care less about.
For full rules, theme announcement and voting categories check the discord! Theme will be announced morning of the jam.
Looking forward to hearing all your submissions!
