♟️ **Welcome to my Lichess stream!**
Hey everyone, I’m **Jay**, a chess player from India, and this is where I’m documenting my journey of becoming a stronger and more serious chess player — one game, one mistake, and one lesson at a time.
I started playing chess seriously only a few years ago, and since then chess has become a huge part of my life. I’m currently around **1500+ FIDE/online level**, and my goal is simple: **keep improving, play stronger opponents, perform better in tournaments, and eventually reach 2000+ and beyond.**
This stream is not about pretending that every game is perfect. 😄
You’ll see the real journey — good games, terrible blunders, winning positions thrown away, time trouble, comebacks, losses, analysis, and hopefully a lot of improvement along the way.
### ♟️ WHAT I STREAM
You’ll mostly find:
• 🔥 **Rapid games**
• ⚡ **Blitz games**
• 🧠 **Rated chess sessions**
• 📈 **Road to 2000**
• 🎯 **Tournament preparation**
• 📚 **Opening preparation and study**
• 🔍 **Game analysis and post-game review**
• 🧩 **Chess puzzles and calculation training**
• 🏆 **Preparation for OTB/FIDE tournaments**
• 💬 **Chess discussions and interaction with viewers**
My main focus is **improvement over just farming rating**. I want to understand why I make mistakes, improve my calculation, become more disciplined with my time, and develop a stronger tournament mindset.
### 📈 THE JOURNEY
I’ve already played my first FIDE-rated classical tournaments and experienced what tournament chess actually feels like — the pressure, the clock, the nerves, the long games, the mistakes, and the feeling of sitting across from a rated opponent.
Now I’m trying to take the next step.
The goal is to become much more consistent in classical chess while also improving my rapid and blitz strength.
**Current goals:**
♟️ Improve my calculation
♟️ Stop playing too fast
♟️ Build a strong opening repertoire
♟️ Improve middlegame understanding
♟️ Become more confident in endgames
♟️ Perform better in FIDE tournaments
♟️ Reach **2000 online**
♟️ Keep pushing toward a much higher level
### 🎥 CHESS + CONTENT CREATION
I’m also building my chess content journey through **Lichess, Twitch and YouTube**.
I enjoy creating chess content, recording games, experimenting with different video ideas, and sharing the actual process of improving as a chess player.
So this stream is also a place where I can build a chess community around the journey.
You don’t need to be a 2000-rated player to be here.
Whether you’re **800, 1200, 1600, 2000+**, a beginner, a tournament player, or someone who simply enjoys watching chess — you’re welcome.
### 🏆 WHY WATCH?
If you enjoy watching someone genuinely work on their chess, make mistakes, learn from them and keep coming back, you’ll probably enjoy the stream.
Sometimes we’ll have a great session.
Sometimes I’ll blunder a queen in 10 moves. 😂
Sometimes we’ll climb rating.
Sometimes we’ll lose 100 points.
But the goal stays the same:
**PLAY → ANALYZE → LEARN → IMPROVE → REPEAT.**
No shortcuts. No pretending.
Just chess.
### 🚀 ROAD TO 2000
This is the beginning of the journey.
